I love Sundays. Today was testimony meeting and it was a pretty good one. Felt the Spirit so strongly during the sacrament prayer. We sang reverently and meekly now. As we sang, I had the overwhelming feeling of singing praises and hymns and beautiful music heavenward. My voice is NOT angelic, but the voices around me we and I believe we were heard by heaven today.
What's strange is that that hymn is written in first person. As if the Savior had written it to us Himself. The author and composer were definitely inspired when writing this song. I am so grateful to have the hymn book. Music is so very powerful and can be used in so many good ways. I Love different kinds of music, especially if they invite the Spirit into my home and my heart. I need to be better about the things I listen to and really seek to listen to the best of music selections.
