Great day today. Finally not so cold and rainy and we road 46.9 km in 2 hours 33 minuts. our max was 63kph. We road out to Arrowtown where we stopped at their bakery (small town) and rested a bit before heading back.
Some friends of ours had perfed their tire so they had to hitch to Shotover Bridge and take bus back into town - they met up with Howie then the three of them went back out to Shotover Bridge and fixed the bike and also went on another set of Jet Boats. Apparently the other river is for those retiring or training. This ride was crazy fast and crazy fun. I stayed at the hotel, did some laundry and took a nap with my book. We are wiped out!
Having a blast with each other and making new friends. Thanks to those who are making it possible for us to be here - and a big thanks to Howie for bringing me! and another to our kids who are taking it all in stride, letting us go off to the wild blue yonder to do this great cycling adventure. Thanks!
